JUNE
Vacation Bible School
Sunday, June 9 to Thursday, June 13 | 6:30-8:15 PM
This year Crossroads will be taking a Great Jungle Cruise for VBS. We will be looking at the whole story of the Bible and embarking on this story from start to finish. VBS is open for kids aged 4 through those who have completed 5th Grade.
Student VBS
Sunday, June 9 to Thursday, June 13 | 2:30-5:00 PM
Our Student Ministry is hosting their Student VBS afternoons which will be full of games and fun this summer before our Kids VBS. Students who have completed 6th grade and up are invited to attend Student VBS.
Church Picnic
Sunday, June 30 | 6:00 PM | Whispering Oaks Farm
Anyone who calls Crossroads home is invited to come to our annual church picnic. This picnic is a time of fellowship, food, and fun. Bring a lawn chair and blanket, and if you are able, bring a side or two for the potluck meal. Kids are invited to bring their scooters or bikes so they can participate in our kids' parade!
JULY
Christmas In July
Wednesday, July 17 | 6:30 PM
Everyone is invited to come out for an evening of Mid-Summer Christmas fun as we hear from reps from Operation Christmas Child. There will be fun Christmas games and everyone is asked to bing a snack or treat from another country.
JC Doughboys Baseball Game
Friday, July 26 | 7:00 PM | TVA Credit Union Ballpark
Join Crossroads as we, "take over the ballpark" for this Johnson City Doughboys baseball game. Tickets can be purchased starting in June and you can purchase either a VIP ticket which includes a meal and box seating, or a General Admission ticket. Our choir will also sing the national anthem at the start of the game.
5th & 6th Grade Lake Day
Sunday, July 28 | 3:00 PM
Our 5th & 6th-grade class will celebrate the end of summer by having a fun day at the lake. Their families are invited. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and drinks will be provided. Families are asked to bring sides or desserts.
AUGUST
Promotion Sunday
Sunday, August 4
On August 4, our Kid's & Student Ministries will promote all children and students to their next grade level. This will be an exciting morning as kids meet their new teachers and join their new classes. Additional information about this event will be sent out to families in July.
Fair Parking
Monday, August 19 - Saturday, August 24
Volunteer to help park cars at the Appalachian Fair this summer. The money raised from parking cars goes to our Student Ministry and helps fund their Fall Retreat and annual trip to the Tennessee Christian Teen Convention in January. You can sign up to serve starting in June and students who serve can earn scholarships towards an upcoming Student Ministry trip.
Fall Kick-Off
Wednesday, August 28 | 6:30 PM
Join us as we kick off our fall Midweek programming. This event will have inflatables, food, and fun, and there will be information about our upcoming classes and programs for the fall for our kids, students, and adults!
SUMMER CONNECT GROUPS
One of our core values at Crossroads is to be in community with one another. The programming we offer attempts to reflect and embody this core value and we as a church seek to create spaces where friendships and community can be formed. Because of this, we are excited to announce that Crossroads is offering something new this summer, Summer Connect Groups. These Connect Groups are for people to spend time together, fellowship with one another, and engage in some fun summer activities. There are groups for families, men, women, co-eds, and more. Check out the article below to read more about these Connect Groups and to sign up for a group this summer
