Summer at Crossroads is an exciting time, and we pause some of our semester-based programming to have different ministry opportunities and events.

JUNE
VBS: TRUE NORTH - Sunday, June 8 to Thursday, June 12 from 6:30-8:15 PM
Join us this summer for our Very Best Summer as we learn to trust Jesus in a wild world! We’ll have games, crafts, worship, and more as we learn how to connect the Bible to our every day lives. VBS will run from Sunday, June 8 to Thursday, June 12 from 6:30-8:15 PM each night.
Children aged 4 through those who have completed 5th grade are welcome to attend. When registering for early childhood, please select your child’s age by July 1, 2025. Sign up online today or contact Helen at with any questions.

STUDENT VBS - Sunday, June 8 to Thursday, June 12 from 4:00-5:30 PM
Student VBS is for students who have completed 6th grade through high school and involves a variety of fun games and activities before VBS from 4:00-5:30 PM.
STUDENT MINISTRY TRIP TO RIVERWOOD - Thursday, June 26 to Saturday, June 28
Riverwood is a facility for adults living with disabilities near Knoxville. Crossroads has taken students to this community for years to help around the campus and to love on this community.
5TH SUNDAY FAMILY WORSHIP - Sunday, June 29
We will continue our 5th Sunday sermon series on June 29. This year on 5th Sundays we are diving into some of the things we do at church in a sermon series called "Church Unboxed." During these services, our Elementary aged students are encouraged to attend service with their parents as we talk about things we do in church with prompts and questions you can take home to talk more about. Our second topic in this year's 5th Sundays is Prayer, we hope you join us for this special day of worship.
CHURCH PICNIC - Sunday, June 29 at 6:00 PM at Whispering Oaks Farm
Every year, our church goes to Whispering Oaks Farm for a potluck picnic. Everyone who calls Crossroads home is invited to attend and bring a dish or two to share. This picnic will take place on Sunday, June 29 at 6:00 PM. During the evening, our kids will be invited to participate in the kid's parade. They can bring their bike or scooter to decorate during the evening.
JULY
5TH & 6TH GRADE LAKE DAY - Sunday, July 27 at 4:00 PM
Every summer, our 5th & 6th Grade class has a lake day to end the summer at the Trent house. This event is for kids in the 5th & 6th grade class and for their families. The fun starts at 4:00. More information for this event and registration for it will be available later.
STUDENT MINISTRY MISSION TRIP TO FLOYD COUNTY - Sunday, July 27 to Saturday, August 2
Our High School Students will embark on a mission trip to Floyd County, Kentucky where they will serve communities devastated by floods. This trip is a fun experience for our students to serve on mission.
AUGUST
PROMOTION SUNDAY - Sunday, August 3
Promotion Sunday is the day where our kids & students are "promoted" to the next grade level. This is a fun day where they will get to know their new classes or groups and learn what to expect in the upcoming programming year.
FAIR PARKING - Monday, August 18 to Saturday, August 23
Each year, our Student Ministry parks cars at Whispering Oaks Farm for the Appalachian Fair. This is our Student Ministry's biggest fundraiser of the year and helps send students to events such as the Fall Retreat and TCTC. Anyone can volunteer to serve at this event, but students who serve can earn scholarship money to go towards one of these trips in the upcoming year.
STUDENT MINISTRY LAKE DAY - Sunday, August 24
Following the busy week at the fair, our Student Ministry will have a fun day at Trent's house at the lake.
FALL KICK-OFF - Wednesday, August 27
Each fall, we kick off our fall programming with a fun night. There will be food, inflatables, information about our fall groups, and more!

PARENT / CHILD DEDICATION - Sunday, August 31
We believe that dedicating your child celebrates your family's commitment to raising your children in the love of Christ. We encourage any family with children who have not been dedicated to join us in your preferred worship service.
