July was a fun month at Crossroads! We had a few special events, a mission trip, and a baptism!
Alaska Mission Trip
We had a team of 15 individuals travel to Homer, Alaska to partner with Glacierview Baptist Church for a week of work in and around the church. Our team helped with projects around the church, helped with their Vacation Bible School, and provided lunches to area kids. Our team lived on mission this week and there were many great stories of how God worked through them.
Crossroads desires to be On Mission for the kingdom of God. To learn about upcoming mission trips and opportunities or to learn about the mission organizations we partner with, check out our Mission page below.
Summer Connect Groups
Our Summer Connect Groups are continuing to meet and in July we saw more groups continuing to meet and fellowship with one another. Our Connect Groups are winding down but please keep your ears open for more Connect Group opportunities in the future.
Christmas In July
A group of Crossroads Members gathered in the heat of the summer to think about Christmas, specifically, Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. We had a representative from Samaritan's Purse visit us to talk about where to buy presents for these boxes and to share her experience of helping pass out these shoeboxes in another country. It was a fun night and left us feeling excited for Christmas.
Johnson City Doughboys Baseball Game
We were once again excited to "take over the ballpark" for a Johnson City Doughboys game. Our congregation had fun eating good food and enjoying the baseball game.
5th & 6th Grade Lake Day
Our 5th & 6th Grade students ended summer by having a lake day. They gathered together to swim, play, and enjoy fun in the sun.
Baptism
In July, we celebrated the baptism of Callie White. Be sure to congratulate her and her family after taking this next step in faith. Are you interested in baptism? Learn more about baptism below.
