August was an exciting month at Crossroads! We had lots of fun kicking off the new programming year! Check out what happened this month below!
Promotion Sunday
On August 4, we celebrated Promotion Sunday where our Kids & Students were promoted to their next grade for the academic year! This was a fun day where kids & students got to meet their new teachers, have fun with their classmates, and get a taste of what was coming up in the next year for their group.
Parking Lot Sale
Our Women's Ministry hosted its Parking Lot Sale on August 10. Dozens of vendors set up along and the bake sale, book sale, and money from space rentals raised $681.25 to be donated to Agape Women's Services of Johnson City.
Fair Parking
From August 19-24, dozens of Students and Adults helped park cars at Whispering Oaks Farm for the Appalachian Fair. By the end of the week we had raised over $12,000 which goes towards Student Ministry and Women's Ministry. Of that money, $3000 will be going straight to Student Scholarships allowing students to attend the Fall Retreat or Tennessee Christian Teen Convention at a discounted rate, or free.

Student Ministry Lake Day
Our Student Ministry celebrated the end of Fair Parking by having a fun day at the lake. Students swam, ate good food, and had a great time of fellowship to celebrate the end of a busy week.
Fall Kick-Off
We celebrated the end of summer with our annual Fall Kick-Off. We had over 200 church members show up for food, inflatables, and fun! We had a great time of fellowship together and many people signed up for our upcoming Midweek Programming which will start on September 4.
