September was a packed month at Crossroads with new groups and classes starting, special events, and the return of some big events. Check out what we did in September below!
Night Of Prayer
On September 4, we started the Fall Semester of Midweek Programming. Our Adults and Students gathered together for a night of prayer and worship. Together we walked through Isaiah 6. We prayed, worshipped, and left our burdens on the cross. This night was a powerful start to our semester and a time of hearing what the Holy Spirit is doing in our church and lives.
Unleashed Student Conference
On September 8, our Student Ministry joined other local churches at Poplar Ridge Christian Church for the Unleashed Conference. This was an incredible night of community and worship.
Midweek Programming
Our Kid's Ministry started meeting for Fall Midweek Programming on September 4, and on September 11 our Adults and Student Groups met to start the fall semester. We have 9 Adult groups, 5 Kids groups, and a Student group meeting this fall!
Men's Retreat
From September 13-15, our Men's Ministry partnered with Bunker Hill Christian Church and Poplar Ridge Christian Church for "The Advantage" Men's Retreat. We spent this weekend looking at the story of Daniel and seeing the advantage of knowing God and knowing your character. It was a weekend filled with worship, fun, and fellowship with our neighbor churches.
Serve The Date
On September 22, we held our annual Serve The Date. This year we had over 300 church members show up to serve various ministries, non-profits, and businesses both on and off our campus. Together we made bunk beds, packed meals, wrote Christmas Cards, painted fence, sorted clothes, wrapped Christmas presents, and more! It was a fantastic morning worshipping with our hands.
Parent & Child Dedication
On September 29, we had a Parent & Child Dedication. This is a time when parents can dedicate their children to God and the church dedicates itself to helping these families raise their kids up in Christ. We had 10 families dedicate their children during both of our services this Sunday Morning!
Flood Relief
Our area was hit by Hurricane Helene last week and a number of our towns and communities were impacted by the rains from this storm. Crossroads was contacted by local EMA officials and has served as a donation and distribution site. Thank you to everyone who has donated items and to everyone who has volunteered their time to help load, sort, and unload items. Continue to stay tuned for how you can help us serve those in need around us.
