Family Promise

Family Promise of Greater Johnson City (FPJC) is a nonprofit ministry dedicated to helping low-income and unhoused families with children achieve sustainable independence.

FPJC works through a network of faith congregations and community agencies to provide a collaborative, compassionate response to family homelessness. A key part of their mission is ensuring families can remain together while they work toward stable housing.

Families who enter the program receive:

  • Individualized case management
  • In-depth support tailored to their specific needs
  • Temporary shelter through the Interfaith Hospitality Network
  • Prevention and diversion services to stop homelessness before it begins
  • Ongoing assistance through the Families Moving Home program

FPJC primarily serves families in Washington, Carter, Unicoi, Greene, and eastern Sullivan counties in Northeast Tennessee. They welcome eligible families without regard to race, gender, religion, ethnicity, or financial status and are committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all.

As an affiliate of the national Family Promise network, FPJC is part of a larger movement engaging thousands of congregations and volunteers across the country to address family homelessness.

We are grateful to partner with FPJC as they bring hope, stability, and practical support to families in our community.
